Lucky Girl:)

Growing up in Batesville, I always felt as if I was a very blessed and lucky person. I had the family, friends, and things that I dreamed of having.

On one beautiful day, the middle of my 5th grade year, my family and I took a trip to Little Rock to shop for furniture for our new home. Almost arriving, we saw a family of 5 on the side of the road begging for help.

My father, the caring and loving man he always has been, decided to stop and help out the family.Once we got our car turned around, my father got out, crossed 4 lanes of rush hour traffic, and reached the car.

Once arriving to the car, the 3 young children were then seen to be running hecticly around until my father told them it was not safe, and to get back into the car. While fixing the flat tire on the car, a woman in a red camaro swirved over and hit my dad. Throwing him in front of the car, the crazy woman kept going. After miles of driving, the woman finally got pulled over and the two men who were chasing her found pills and alcohol in the vehicle.

The greatness of this story is that while helping a much needed family, my father was in a hit in run accident and made it out alive with no broken bones. Even though our family went through this tragic event, my family and I feel very lucky to still have my dad. My dad is my hero and I will forever look up to him for being the best christian role model and a loving father. Im lucky to have a dad like mine to always look up to.
